Microsoft Access .NET Programmer

Tasks the role will be performing:

• Perform Test Planning, Test Coverage, Functional Test Development, Test Execution and Regression Testing
• Attend Design Reviews to gain understanding of functionality in order to develop and execute testing tasks and responsibilities
• Under the supervision of staff, develop test strategies, test cases and test from requirements/specifications
• Execute test cases, and develop test data as needed.
• Problem Research and Error Isolation: conduct analysis of testing results/failures. Prepare and submit detailed problem reports for correction. Work with development staff to resolve issues
• Fix Verification/Impact Analysis: Verify problems reported during testing are working as designed. Verify no further regressions are caused by the fix
• Communicating with Department staff on test progress/status in a timely manner
• Assist in estimation of hours required to complete testing projects (as requested)
• Meet project completion dates
• Produce process and procedure documentation


Requirements for the position:

  • Minimum 36 months of experience in the development and testing of software installation packages for client workstations
  • Minimum 72 months of development experience using Microsoft Access
  • Minimum 48 months of programming experience using Microsoft .NET
  • Minimum 48 months of experience in SQL Server and/or Oracle database querying and database design
  • Minimum 36 months of experience in software version control utilizing check-in check-out procedures
  • Minimum 60 months of experience creating technical guides and installation manuals
  • Minimum 36 months of experience in end user support of production applications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 12 months of Traffic and Criminal Software (TraCS) software development experience
