Professional Services and Consulting
The Director of Technology and Information Systems will help drive operational excellence across the Professional Services business by collaborating with stakeholders and cross functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient systems/tools, timely and accurate business reporting and clearly defining the strategy for ongoing optimization of our business infrastructure. This will involve all aspects of planning, analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of solutions, and day to day operations. You will be championing the use of technology to align and achieve business objectives and be responsible for the end-to-end architecture, integration and development of the Services ecosystem. This position will also develop both data management and reporting strategies to improve the accuracy of data and standardize reporting across business Verticals & Geographies.
The Director of Technology and Information Systems is both business and technically focused and will require a high level of technical understanding of Enterprise applications, Business Intelligence and Reporting, and Service technology tools. Your vision and the work of your team will ultimately make systems/tools/processes more efficient, improve decision making, reduce manual, low-value work, and enable the organization to improve their ability to provide an exceptional Customer experience.
Leads the strategic direction of technologies used within the Professional Services organization, serving as a technology operations thought leader, working effectively with the leadership team to develop, evaluate, implement, and support practical solutions across Verticals/Geographies.
Manage the Professional Services business application infrastructure, architecture and integration, and governance for the Services quote to close business capabilities. Approves and oversees procedures for all systems management activities, fostering consistency, adoption of best practices and continual improvement.
Create and manage prioritized improvements roadmap; ensure that it aligns with the overall corporate direction and company vision. Facilitates and monitors decision-making structure and is responsible for feedback processes.
Champion the development and usage of Services deployment tools; foster adoption and evolution necessary to improve employee effectiveness, the customer experience and meeting Time to Live objectives.
Act as the business systems and tools stakeholder in critical projects, ensuring project success by understanding the needs of the business and leadership, identifying appropriate solutions, and determining how technology should be leveraged to make the solution happen.
Establish a data management strategy, develop guidelines, rules and standards to improve Services data quality; optimize team performance and information management.
Shape the business reporting/analytics strategy working closely with key stakeholders to fundamentally transform how the business consumes data and information.
Drive the development of technical requirements for consolidated, standard and advanced reporting leveraging advanced reporting technology. Streamline reporting, dashboards and develop scorecards incorporating new SaaS metrics for use across various roles within the organization.
Oversee business application (SFDC, OpenAir, Big Machines/CPQ) administration and operational support including user and security management, hierarchies and role profiles.
Sets policy, standards, and procedures for all areas of technology training. Assures all systems, procedures, and manuals are fully documented. Partner with Services Learning & Development on training requirements/strategy.
Build communication plans and deliver updates on roadmaps, release planning, system changes and performance concerns and issues.
Act as the trusted advisor and partner to Business stakeholders, Services Operations & Enablement teams and Global IT.
7-10 years of Technology, Operations leadership experience; Bachelors Degree in a technology or business administration related field
Experience leading and delivering system implementations, re-engineering projects and executing against roadmaps.
Hands on and in-depth experience with the administration and customization of Enterprise SaaS solutions such as Salesforce.com, NetSuite or similar.
Proven experience in solution design, development, implementation and data integration of business applications.
Data and Reporting visualization experience using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI; report writing.
Process oriented with strong business understanding of Quote to Cash/Close business model.
Firm understanding of Professional Services quoting and deployment models and supporting tools.
Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence leveraging technology solutions, including coordinating and driving issues to resolution utilizing excellent judgment skills.
Highly effective presentation skills enabling the business to clearly understand how technology solutions will deliver benefits.
Leadership and management skills with the ability to manage simultaneous priorities and changing deadlines; high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretion in handling priority conflicts and resources constraints.
Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication, negotiation, facilitation skills with a commitment to internal/external customer responsiveness.
Passion for the intersection of user experience, technology, and business value.
Advanced proficiency in BI Tools, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
