ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Mgr, Commercial Finance, is responsible for delivering Pfizer Digital solutions for planning, budgeting and forecasting in support of Commercial Finance. They will assume ownership for driving key strategic initiatives, as well as providing direction and oversight of the Mosaic platform. They collaborate with Client Partners, as well as other Pfizer Digital groups in the development of technology products, service standards and development efforts which impact this client group.

This position will play a leadership role in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing systems. They will also evaluate new Pfizer Digital developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.

Overall Scope

  • Lead delivery of all Pfizer Digital solutions for Commercial Finance to ensure successful completion of all Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities.

  • Set objectives and manage multiple projects / ongoing work activities of high complexity

Breadth and Depth of Knowledge

  • Considered a subject matter expert for Pfizer Digital's role in supporting Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities in Commercial Finance

  • Provides and leverages technical/functional expertise to client base and project teams

  • Uses knowledge of industry, customer requirements and general business environment to adapt and implement strategic actions

  • Exhibits a high level of business knowledge and understanding of the external marketplace and anticipates customer requirements

Solution Delivery

  • Leverages detailed knowledge of Pfizer's Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting platforms in delivering business solutions

  • Uses functional business knowledge of Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting to effectively integrate solutions that drive business value and further Pfizer's strategy

  • Develops solutions based on comprehensive understanding of end to end processes all the way through to external reporting

  • Defines technology solutions and services to enable the planning, budgeting and forecasting strategy and goals for the BU's and its individual markets

  • Shapes thinking and vision on how technology solutions can support the goals for Commercial Finance

  • Acts as an innovation enabler and proactively brings forward opportunities and solutions that can drive business objectives

  • Understands Commercial Finance strategic direction and operational needs at the global, regional and market level

  • Tracks and proactively communicates business results from Pfizer Digital's investments in planning, budgeting and forecasting

  • Identifies opportunities where technology can build competitive advantage and provides game-changing innovation

  • Analyzes business requests to determine how best to create successful resolution; develops business cases

  • Manages demand and value realization

  • Manages and sets stakeholder expectations

  • Collaborates with Pfizer Digital Leaders, Client Partners, Solution Centers and other groups to develop and execute technology strategy

  • Ensures that all customer expectations have been met through delivery of services or projects

  • Secures appropriate resources for projects, engaging with the business, and facilitates service delivery

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • BS in Information Technology or Computer Science; MS Degree with finance/budget skills or CPA preferred

  • 7+ years' designing, building, and supporting technology solutions using Hyperion Financial Reporting and Planning tools and software

  • 5+ years' project management experience, working with internal and external cross-functional team members

  • Deep knowledge and experience of implementing Predictive Analytics, Robotic Process Automation and Natural Language Generation within a Commercial Finance organization

  • Role is based in New York City

  • Potential travel required for critical project work
